| The Vision |
We envision Bible-centered living (Connecting with God’s Word) It is our vision that followers of Jesus would connect with God through the teaching and personal study of the Bible to enable them to live the abundant life promised by Jesus. It is our vision to create an environment in which non-Christians can freely investigate and examine the person, claims, and teachings of Jesus. We see a church where people have fallen in love with God’s word. We see a people who are serious about learning what the Bible has to say about life and then live in His truth. We see a people who actively grow in spiritual maturity because of personal knowledge of the Bible. We see a people whose lives reflect their exposure to the truth of God’s Word as they live life in personal obedience to God. We see a church where the Bible is held as the standard for faith, conduct, and our understanding of who we are in Christ. We see a church full of people who are equipped to effectively handle God’s word accurately to discover truth for themselves, not dependant on others for truth. We see a people whose worldview is determined by God’s word, not the surrounding culture. |
